The largest law firm in Southern Vermont just got bigger. Barr, Sternberg, Moss, Lawrence & Silver PC has expanded its reach with the addition of a new partner, Michael S. Munson, ESQ.

Named by National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Vermont lawyers, Munson comes to the firm with considerable diversity and trial law experience. He has argued before the Supreme Court and has tried dozens of cases, including more than 20 felony and misdemeanor criminal jury trials, and adds to the firm’s extensive personal injury, family law, real estate, civil litigation, estate planning, and landlord/tenant litigation experience.

Munson comes to Barr, Sternberg, Moss, Lawrence, Silver & Partners from Cormier, Cormier & Munson, PC, where he practiced law for the last seven years. Prior to entering Vermont private law he was the Deputy State’s Attorney in Bennington from 2007 to 2010. Working with Venable LLP in Washington, D.C., Munson was a white-collar criminal defense attorney, as well an environmental lawyer from 2004 to 2007. Munson earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, TX and his BA in Government from the University of Virginia. He has also studied EU law at University College London. Munson is licensed to practice law in Vermont and Virginia.
